- Comprehensive care from rehabilitation specialists: Rush Oak Park Hospital provides multiple levels of physical medicine and rehabilitation services for our patients. Our team of nurses, therapists, and social worker/case manager work hand-in-hand with specialty physicians (physiatrists, physicians trained and board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation) to deliver patient-centered care designed to optimize recovery from an illness, accident or injury.
- Inpatient acute rehabilitation: Patients who require intensive rehabilitation and 24-hour nursing and medical support are treated on the inpatient rehabilitation unit.
- Skilled Care Unit (sub-acute rehabilitation): Patients who require less intensive rehabilitation and hospital support, but can still benefit from rehabilitative care, can be admitted to the subacute rehabilitation program at ROPH. Unlike other skilled care facilities, the Skilled Care Unit program provides hospital caliber care in a sub-acute/skilled care setting.
- Outpatient rehabilitation services: A full range of rehabilitation services are available on an outpatient basis for those who need physical therapy, occupational therapy, and/or speech therapy. For your convenience, you can schedule outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy appointments by calling the department directly at (708) 660-3800.
